Jose Angel comes from a Mexican background, born and raised in Chicago from Mexican immigrant parents made him appreciate so much more his passion for his mexican heritage, roots, culture and traditions. This is what inspired him to create “Mi Mexico Connection” where he plans to share with you some of his close friends, businesses, places and explore the beautiful parts of Mexico and enjoy the rich culture and traditions that Mexico has to offer to the world. Jose Angel has a very heavy presence with his work in Mexico and he spends a lot of time in between Mexico City, Queretaro, Guanajuato and his main HUB San Miguel de Allende. These locations and spaces help him get inspired and creative with his work, this plays a huge part of his creative process. His filmmaking & directing style is far from normal and never goes by the book. Jose Angel didn’t step foot into this industry to become famous or popular, in fact he would rather remain behind the scenes and low key under the radar and move quietly. Growing up in the rough streets and being surrounded by drugs, gangs and violence in his neighborhood wasn't the easiest or the best lifestyle for him as a kid, he lost a few close friends along the way due to gangs and violence in Chicago. Having family members and friends that had ties to gangs made him realize quickly that he needed to choose a different path for his future, photography & filmmaking saved my life. At a very early age Jose Angel picked up interest in arts, photography, directing and cinematography so it only made sense that one day he would be an advocate for the “ARTS”. He was amazed with the kind of pictures he was able to capture with his first 35mm film camera. Soon after that he moved up into the digital format and the rest was history and he fell in love with photography, filmmaking and cinema. I want to be able to share with you the building process and the key elements from the beginning to the end of a scene and also share with you some of my favorite films and upcoming films, features and movies by some of my favorite directors, cinematographers and actors. Everything that you do from film scoring, to building a script to shooting wide or tight or black & white or color will always set the tone for your opening scene or a closing scene. Jose Angel has a very heavy presence in world of photography syndication & publications in the fashion, editorial and publication industry this artist has reached an extensive audience in the world of modeling, fashion, editorial and publications. What seems different and odd to others he sees it as an opportunity to produce something different and unique and further allows him to experiment and expand with a wider spectrum and see the bigger picture with his creative process. His visual creative process starts with a simple idea and a very simple yet complex creative treatment or script for every one of his hand selected projects. Jose Angel pays a lot of attention to detail from textures, colors, shades, sounds, lighting, shadows, shapes and full framing, he likes a busy frame. Jose Angel is known for his staggering and countless long takes, long shots, composition and framing. That is why he became an advocate for the film & cinema industry and created this platform and space to promote and showcase some of his close friends & mentors work and also for upcoming or professional artist that have a passion in the field of photography, directing, documentary, cinematography, filmmaking, acting, screen writing, writers, producers, film scoring and anything that has to do with the film & music industry because he is a huge advocate of arts. I want to share with you my stories and some of my biggest inspirations, mentors and good friends in the film, cinema, sports and music industry in hopes of inspiring others to follow their dreams. Growing up on the Southside of Chicago Jose Angel grew up listening to House Music, Deep House, Tech House, Disco House, French House, Acid House and everything else in between. This paved the way for him to understand the movement, culture and community of House Music and allowed him to work alongside and build friendships and longtime relationships with some international legendary artist in the House Music industry such as DJ Sneak, Bad Boy Bill, Ralphi Rosario, DJ Jes, Derrick Carter, Czr, Paul Johnson, Frankie Knuckles, Rafael “Ito” Garcia, Todd Terry, Mark Farina, Felix Da Housecat, DJ Colette & DJ AM just to name a few. Jose Angel is currently working on a House Music Documentary to be released in the near future so stay tuned………

Coming up in the competitive photography and filmmaking industry for this Chicago native wasn’t the easiest process for him, he had to overcome a lot of obstacles along the way. Very early on in the game he understood the complexity it was going to be for him to make a name for himself but that wasn’t going to stop him or discourage him. It’s a very competitive industry, not everyone will be willing to teach you the ropes and guide you in the right direction and that’s because everyone is looking to get their 5 minutes of fame before anyone else and that’s the wrong approach to take in this industry because that eventually will not get you anywhere. Many artist think it’s an easy process and seem to think that overnight success will happen immediately, but it actually takes months, years and decades of a lot of hard work, dedication and rejection before 1 door opens 10 doors. That is why Jose Angel being an Advocate of Arts decided to launch “Inspired By Cinema” because he doesn’t want other passionate artist to struggle the same way he did coming up in this industry and he wants to be an advocate and mentor for other upcoming artist and creators. This self taught renowned photographer and filmmaker has shared the stages and film sets with some of the most iconic important influential public figures, artist, musicians, actors, actresses, celebrities, athletes, directors, writers, producers and many more in the industry.
